It was a wet day and Barry was miserable. The bell
rang and all the children went out into the school yard. Barry saw two
boys hanging around the door. They walked up to him and pushed him. |

El día estaba húmedo y Barry se sentía afligido. Sonó
el timbre y todos los niños salieron al patio de la escuela. Barry
observó que dos muchachos daban vueltas por la puerta. Se dirigieron
hacia él y lo empujaron. |

“Look, it’s Barry Robinson,” they said.
“Give us your money or we’ll hit you.”
Barry gave them his dinner money.
“Ooo, look at little Barry” said the big one called Scott Dixon.
“How’s your grandma?” and all the boys laughed.
“Leave my gran alone,” said Barry.
“Your gran can’t do anything,” said Scott Dixon. “Everybody knows that.”
“Yes, she can,” said Barry. |

"Mira, es Barry Robinson", dijeron.
"Danos tu dinero o te golpeamos".
Barry les entregó el dinero de la comida.,
"Ahh, mírenlo al pequeño Barry", dijo Scott Dixon el grandote. "¿Cómo
está tu abuelita?" y todos los chicos se rieron.
"Dejen en paz a mi abuelita", dijo Barry.
"Tu abuela nada puede hacer", dijo Scott Dixon. "Todos lo saben".
"Sí que puede", dijo Barry. |

At that moment they saw a small figure arrive at the
school railings. She was dressed in black and had an umbrella. She was
very small. The figure looked up and the boys saw Barry's grandma. She
walked into the school yard and looked at Scott Dixon and his friend
Lee. |

En ese momento observaron que una persona pequeña se
acercaba a las rejas de la escuela. Estaba vestida de negro y llevaba un
paraguas. Era muy pequeña. La persona alzó la vista y los muchachos
reconocieron a la abuela de Barry. Ingresó al patio de la escuela y miró
a Scott Dixon y a su amigo Lee. |

"I've been watching you," she said.
She picked up Scott Dixon and threw him up into the air. He flew twenty
metres and banged against the school wall. |

"Los he estado obervando", les dijo.
Lo levantó a Scott Dixon y lo arrojó por el aire. Vólo veinte metros y
chocó ruidosamente contra el muro de la escuela. |

"That will teach him!" said Grandma. "Come on Barry,
let's go home." Barry smiled and all the other children stared in
amazement. "Barry's Grandma can do anything!" they said. |

"Ven Barry, vamos a casa". Barry sonrió y el resto de los chicos se

The next day Grandma and Barry went shopping. They
took the bus into town and went to the market. Then they waited at the
bus stop for the bus home. |

Al día siguiente la abuela y Barry fueron de compras.
Tomaron el autobús a la ciudad y fueron al mercado. Luego esperaron en
la parada por el autobús de regreso a casa. |

Suddenly they heard a noise. There was a shop on the
other side of the road – a jewellery shop with watches and rings and
gold. A bell rang and the glass window broke. Grandma and Barry crossed
the road. They saw two men with guns taking all the expensive things. |

De pronto escucharon un ruido. Había un negocio al
otro lado de la calle – una joyería con relojes y anillos de oro. Sonó
una alarma y la vidriera se destrozó. La abuela y Barry cruzaron la
calle. Observaron que dos hombres con armas de fuego se llevaban todos
los objetos de gran valor. |
